Chiropractors are required to be licensed in all 50 states and must pass national and state board examinations.
Dr. Miller completed his chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic
in Davenport, Iowa, in 1988. He was then required to pass the national board tests and received his license to practice in the state of Michigan.
Chiropractic therapy, a non-invasive, drug-free technique, can affect
positive changes by helping the body to use its innate ability to heal itself.
The body's natural healing powers are released by reestablishing communication between the brain and the body's tissue cells. The body is
allowed optimal health by maintaining the biomechanical relationship of the spinal column. This facilitates the normal flow of impulses in the brain to the body's parts.
Interference with this body/brain communication can cause health problems.
Chiropractors are the only practitioners who offer this type of approach (spinal adjustments to normalize and maintain nerve conduction) to control
the body's homeostasis.
Miller Chiropractic Clinic is a family chiropractic practice with an emphasis on pediatric, geriatric and athletes' care.
Pediatric care
focuses on maintaining health and preventing problems later in life.
Geriatric patients are more susceptible to sprains and strains, and so benefit greatly from chiropractic therapy.
Athletic
care can help the body to heal more quickly from minor sprains and strains incurred during sports participation and restore the athlete to a high level of competition, often in less time than other more traditional forms of treatment.
Many athletic patients who have received chiropractic therapy in order to continue in their physical endeavors have done very well.
Young people tend to understand the importance of health maintenance more than
middle-aged patients do. They are more compliant with the chiropractor's instructions, and so tend to heal even more quickly than can be accounted for by youth.
The body can heal itself of many afflictions, but sometimes it needs something to help it cope with a particular illness or complaint. Chiropractic therapy can also help with fighting
the disease process.
